"Five Good Reasons to Use Science Notebooks" Reflection

After reading this article, I definitely plan on using science notebooks in my future classroom. Not only is it a tool that allows the teacher to understand a child's thought process, but it also allows the child to explore different types of writing. Writing is a very important part of the scientific process and there is more to scientific writing than just writing down one's observations. Science notebooks also allow students to have ownership over their work, which I believe is very important.
