Sweater Weather Reflection

One of the most interesting things about this article was how stubborn the kids were and how set their misconceptions were. When the thermometer didn’t change, they came to the conclusion that the the thermometer might be wrong, instead of their thoughts. These students were believing their feelings over scientific evidence, so it is our job as educators to know how to deal with their stubbornness and not let their stubbornness grow into misconceptions. I really enjoyed how the article highlighted Deb O’Brien’s thoughts and how she was overthinking how she would deal with her students’ responses to her instruction because it is very important that we reflect on how our students internalize our lessons and how that might lead to misconceptions.
