Before the Flood
Overall, this documentary was pretty depressing and eye opening. I didn’t know that we have known about the problem for decades and that old black and white films even mentioned “global warming.” The saddest part of the documentary was when an islander said “The small island nations that contribute the least will experience the effects of climate change the most.” The carbon tax was another thing that I didn’t know about and I thought the idea that politicians just follow what the people want was an interesting concept. Perhaps the most terrifying part of the documentary was the part about the melting ice, the color of the ice, and the methane trapped in ice. Most people are the mostly concerned with the extinction polar bears and other Arctic animals, but we don’t consider the other negative effects of the melting ice.
